Nursery Practitioner

Location: Brighton

Salary: £26,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a warm, enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to work across various early years settings and age groups in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is adaptable, confident and passionate about providing high-quality childcare. You will support children of different ages, helping to create safe, engaging and nurturing environments where they can learn, develop and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality care and learning opportunities for children across different age groups
  • Adapting confidently to a variety of nursery and early years settings
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Supporting children’s individual development, wellbeing and educational needs
  • Acting as a key person where required
  • Completing observations, assessments and development records
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and nursery teams
  • Promoting safeguarding, equality and inclusion
  • Maintaining safe, clean and stimulating learning environments
  • Following each setting’s policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements

Requirements

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience working within nursery or early years environments
  • Confidence working across various settings and with different age groups
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • A caring, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to quickly build relationships and work effectively within different teams
  • An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one
