Role: Business Development Manager
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000 – £40,000 basic (£40,000 – £50,000 OTE)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join one of our growing clients, an established consultancy based in Brighton.
This is a relationship-led business development role, focused on growing an established client base while identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.

The Requirements:
- Previous Business Development or B2B sales experience highly beneficial
- Commercially minded, confident and articulate
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable speaking with senior decision makers
- Proactive approach to identifying new opportunities
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills
- Able to understand specialist services and communicate their value
- Experience within professional services, property, construction, planning, engineering or consultancy would be advantageous
The Role:
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify opportunities to increase services with current customers
- Generate new business across relevant markets
- Research target organisations and commercial opportunities
- Build relationships with key decision makers
- Follow up enquiries, proposals and previous clients
- Attend networking events and industry meetings
- Develop referral relationships and strategic partnerships
- Maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline
- Support proposals, pitches and longer-term business development strategy
