Role: Patient Care Coordinator
Location: Brighton & Hove
Hours: Mondays and Fridays, with additional ad hoc shifts available
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temporary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Patient Care Coordinator to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy healthcare organisation in Brighton & Hove.
This is a fantastic temporary opportunity for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator with EMIS Web experience to support a busy healthcare team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth running of appointments and day-to-day administrative processes.

The Requirements
- Previous experience using EMIS Web is essential
- Previous experience within a GP practice or healthcare setting
- Strong administration and IT skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Organised, reliable and able to work under pressure
- Available to work every Monday and Friday
- Current DBS certificate is advantageous
The Role
- Welcome patients and respond to enquiries professionally
- Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with patient queries
- Book, amend and cancel patient appointments
- Maintain and monitor the appointment system
- Signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service
- Enter and update patient information using EMIS Web
- Process emails, correspondence and patient registrations
- Support clinical and administrative colleagues with day-to-day tasks
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
- Deliver a friendly, professional and efficient service at all times
