Role: Financial Controller
Location: Brighton or London (Hybrid Working available, office based in London Victoria)
Hours: Full time
Pay: £75,000 per annum and benefits package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join one of our longstanding clients, an exciting and growing organisation operating in a highly regulated and fast-paced industry, with a focus on financial operations across multiple business areas.

The Requirements:

• Fully qualified finance professional (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Significant experience in a finance leadership role
• Strong understanding of accounting software (Sage preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
• Proven experience managing and mentoring a finance team
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple entities and tight deadlines

The Role:

• Oversee day-to-day transactional processes including accounts payable, payroll, client payments, and expenses
• Manage monthly close and reporting cycle across multiple entities with high-quality financial analysis
• Maintain oversight of cash flow management for operational and strategic needs
• Lead on statutory financial reporting, tax and regulatory filings
• Act as main liaison for external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operational and compliance teams
• Provide support to a UK and Ireland-based property investment portfolio
• Support licensing requirements by acting as the finance contact for industry regulators

The company is looking for someone to start as soon as possible to allow for a smooth transition before the current role holder departs in two months. Interviews will be scheduled on an ad hoc basis as suitable candidates are identified.
